"Cornered" was Culebra's first song. Jennie was given the task of creating the melody. She temporarily decided to speak the verses and sing the refrain, and this choice ended up being permanent.

I fell through a trapdoor
Into a vast chaotic void.
Never stop falling;
I'm falling forever.
Will I wake up before I land?
I can't even see my own hands.
Down into the wrath,
Back into the dawn gone black.
Something's with me here;
Reaching out to feel what it is,
But all I find is nothingness,
Plummet with me yes
Lost in the labyrinth called life,
Running from everything,
Walls made of deceit,
Useless people to greet.

Backed into a corner, falling to the floor
I'm cornered by everything, I don't smile anymore
Your frost-ridden lies can numb me as well
Now I shrink into retreat, into nothingness I fell.

Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust.
Birth to death,
Love to lust.
Hero to zero,
Man to beast.
Creation to destruction,
Most to least.
Fallen from an illusion,
Taken by false delusion.
A promise they never kept,
Torn limb to limb I was left.
No one has a care,
Hiding their fear,
Smiling through the pain.
Drowning in the rain.

Backed into a corner, falling to the floor
I'm cornered by everything, I don't smile anymore
Your frost-ridden lies can numb me as well
Now I shrink into retreat, into nothingness I fell.

What is justice? Why must I cringe?
For how long on vacuity must I hinge?

Backed into a corner, falling to the floor
I'm cornered by everything, I don't smile anymore
Your frost-ridden lies can numb me as well
Now I shrink into retreat, into nothingness I fell.
