Here in Ireland we're going through a bit of a purge at the moment. As we say here, the dogs in the street have known for years that corruption was widespread, but much of it is only coming to light now. Once it's all come out in the wash, I'll give myself the project of documenting the whole mess in a Corruption in Irish Politics node, but for now, here's a list of some of the politicians who have been fingered:
Of course, all that we can say for certain about these people at the moment is that they took massive sums of money from wealthy businessmen, but nobody believes that these payments won't in time be linked to actual favours.
