A language used in Croatia. Belongs in the group of Indo-European languages , and in the Central South-Slavic branch of Slavic lanuages. Most of the times, though, you would see it called Hrvatski, especially on web pages with multilingual content.

Modern Croatian has several dialects, that are very distinct, yet easily comprehensible to anyone who knows the standard "literature" Croatian;
The northern dialects are fast and have some German influence. The southern, coastal ones, are sloooow and have a drawl to it. They are saturated with Italian words.
