Cyberlife Research Limited is a UK company, founded by Steve Grand when he left Cyberlife, which performs research and development involving artificial lifeforms. It was founded in January 2000, and is based in the home of the founder and his wife (the company secretary).

Their first project was working on a self-guided glider, but they are currently working on a robot baby orangutan called Lucy Matilda, the first in a series of robots in which they are hoping to induce imagination. They are currently self-funded.

Their approach to artificial life is that intelligence can only come from life-like systems, so they are developing techniques to simulate these systems. Their aim is to get these techniques accepted as a commonly-used technology.
