A joint venture between Dave Atherton, a budding technical author of BBC Micro books, and Bruce Smith (who I didn't know - I believe he was a journo with one of the home computer magazines of the day).
They published many books supporting the home and hobbyist micro-computer enthusiast towards the end of the 1980s and early 1990s. They began also stocking hardware for BBC Micros (and, possibly, other micros - I don't remember) and moved quite late into the PC hardware market becoming first DABS Computers and then dabs.com.
