DESede

The name of Triple DES encryption, triple because you use three keys.

How encrypting with DESede works:

• Encrypt the plaintext with the first key.
• Decrypt the ciphertext with the second key.
• Encrypt the wrongly deciphered ciphertext with the third key.

To decrypt simply follow the routine in reverse.

One can only assume the "ede" of DESede means: encrypt, decrypt, encrypt.
