Documentary about West Virginia mountain tap dancer Jesco White, produced by Jacob Young for public television. Y'all can mostly read about it in the Jesco White node.

Review: brilliant, tragic, hilarious. You can't make this stuff up. Or maybe you can. Every time I watch it, there's a moment when I wonder if it's not really a documentary. And multiple moments when I can't believe how callous I am, to laugh at this family and their tribulations. But I'm Southern and grew up in Appalachia, plus my family's pretty fucked up, too, so I'm allowed.

Jesco White's theme song: "If you want to go to heaven, you got to raise a little hell!"

Hottie: Mamie White, Jesco's sister

Lesson learned: huffing lighter fluid doesn't fix your brain.
