Datarock is a hilarious group from Bergen, Norway who play an entertaining brew of lo-fi rock, electropop, kraftwerkian sounds, massive beats all juiced up with not so subtle humour.

As scary as it sounds, it most definitely rocks!

The band is the brain(dead)child of Fredrik Saroea, Ketil Mosnes and Kevin O’Brien and despite relatively few releases has already formed a bit of a cult following. Their gigs are simple but entertaining and if the music doesn't make you want to move, you probably shouldn't be blaming the boys on stage.

At the time of writing, Datarock had relased:

  • DATAROCK/STOCKHAUS SPLIT EP - 10" - 500 COPIES LTD EDITION - ÉLLET RECORDS, 2001
  • DEMO/GREATEST HITS EP - CD-R - 400 COPIES LTD EDITION - KAPTEIN KALIBER RECORDS, 2002
  • I KNOW WHAT BOYS LIKE - 7" - VERY FEW COPIES LTD. EDITION - KAPTEIN KALIBER RECORDS, 2003
  • COMPUTER CAMP LOVE EP - CDEP/7" - ÉLLET RECORDS, 2003
  • DATAROCK DATAROCK – CD – YAP, 2005

And additionally a score of songs have featured on compilations.

Datarock is one of those bands which is at its best live on a stage. Try to catch them if you can.
