A form of syllogism in scholastic logic. The name is from a medieval mnemonic poem, where its vowels reflect the syllogism's standard form of AII-3.

All M are P. A - universal affirmative
Some M are S. I - particular affirmative
Therefore, some S are P.  I - particular affirmative
