David Sklansky is a profesional poker player. Not just that, but he is one of the best. He makes his living from book sales and the poker table in his home town of Las Vegas. And this is where he met his partner - Mason Malmuth.

Malmuth became Sklansky's pupil, learning the complexities of poker, specifically Hold 'em, and taking extensive notes. When the game was finally legalised in California in 1988, Sklansky and Malmuth published Malmuth's notes in what became the book "Hold em Poker". Sklansky's books became required reading for poker players. Without them, you may as well give your money away. There are too many books about poker which are just wrong, written by people who want to make more money from other players - this they argue happily, gives them plenty of material to debunk.
