The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy was
Michael Franti and
Rono Tse, who had previously comprised two-fifths of the
Beatnigs. They put out one album,
Hypocrisy is the Greatest Luxury, and created
Spare Ass Annie with the
spoken words of
William S. Burroughs, before breaking up.
Rumor has it that Franti told Tse that the band was splitting up via fax.
Television - The Drug of the Nation was actually first recorded by the Beatnigs.
