Contrasts with individual, an expression referring to the idea that a person is the smallest, and indivisible unit of humanity.
However, in recent time, the increase in the use of electric media by people pushes people away from individualism, and back to a more communal, or "dividual" form of life and production. This is because access to information is becoming more important than the information stored in someone's individual brain.
