Everywhere one goes in Yellowstone National Park there are signs posted saying 'Don't feed the bears'. Every time a bear is spotted a group of tourists gather and several always offer the bear food. I watched one woman chasing after a bear with several peanut butter and jelly sandwitches. The bear was walking away from the woman who was about ten feet behind it. The bear came up to a small tree and straddled it. The tree bent beneath the bear's great body weight and the bear stopped. The bear then relieved itself of a large bowel movement. When done, the bear moved forward and the tree snapped back and upright providing a natural 'toilet paper' for the bear. Of course the woman was unable to avoid the large amount of flying bear shit which hit her face. So next time you visit Yellowstone Park and see the signs you know why they Don't feed the bears.
