Bluth Studios is considered by most in the industry to be the main competitor to the powerhouse Disney Animation studio.
Don Bluth, being an ex-Disney employee, obviously knew a thing or two about not only animation and film, but business as well. The studio has flourished in recent years becuase of this.
"Bluthian" animations have similar characteristics to one another; Bold lines, muted backgrounds and detailed realistic figures. You can see this trait in most Bluth productions from their first major success, The Secret of Nimh, to their newest (as of 2000), Titan AE.
