Barbeque, is known as, hands down, the best BBQ in the
Los Angeles area. This is some
serious BBQ - it has to be to counteract the funny name.
Located on Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley, people have been known to drive for hours for a taste of the beef briscuit, pork ribs and beef ribs. No question about it, this place is about BBQ and serious BBQ at that. You come for the food. If you want ambiance, or a place in a better neighborhood, go to Tony Romas.
Smoke Magazine named the good doctor as one of the Top 10 BBQ's in the US. Los Angeles Magazine is quoted as saying "the beef ribs look like they came straight out of Jurassic Park".
Not cheap and for the longest time existed in the dark ages as they were cash only and would not take credit cards, was somewhat of a pain to go to, but now that they do accept credit cards there are no worries.
