The Eastern College Athletic Conference, ECAC, is the largest conference of the NCAA. It contains teams from all three divisions, I, II, and III. Many schools hold dual membership in this league and their normal conference. This includes teams from the America East, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial Athletic, Metro Atlantic, and Northeast conferences and the Ivy and Patriot leagues. Just think "conference of conferences" or meta-conference.

The Conference was founded in 1938 as the Central Office for Eastern Intercollegiate Athletics. In 1983 it merged with the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (EAIAW) and became the ECAC.

All in all there are 83 members. I'm not going to list them all for the time being. Maybe at a later date I'll add the list, but don't get your hope up too much.
