Eurologic Systems was founded in 1988 in
Ireland. Started as a
service provider, but evolved to leading edge
storage solutions
developer with offices in Ireland, USA and the UK. They currently employ over 300 people, including me.
The product range are storage enclosures,
JBOD as well as with an (external)
array controller, suitable in
SAN environments as well as "desktop-attached" storage (think about
multimedia developers), and
NAS too. The XL400 was awarded with the European
design prize in 1996, actually preceding the fancy
mass-marketed
iMacs in using
coloured boxes instead of the dull grey. Their latest product is the storage enclosure SANBlock FC2100 and FC2500, which is the industry's first 2Gbps
Fibre Channel-ready
network storage system.
