Eusibius was born a little after 260 A.D. in
Palestine. He was a Christian, and in about 313
he became the bishop of
Caesarea, in
Palestine. He was responsible for several works about of the early
church. His greatest work was the "
Ecclesiastical History" which chronicled all the events in the Chistian Church until 324 A.D.. He was also interested in cataloguing all the
martyrs in the church.
He was a member of the council of Nicaea, where he took a moderate position, between the opposing views of Athanasius and Arius. He died in 339 A.D..
