Eva Unit 04, though never actually seen in the series
Neon Genesis Evangelion, was alluded to briefly. Labeled as a
Production Model, Unit 04 was constructed in the
United States in
Nevada, however it was destroyed before construction was complete. Various theories presented by
Akagi Ritsuko include the self destruction of it's
S2 engine and the possibility of a
Sea of Dirac opening underneath the construction site.
The recent release of Evangelion toys by
Xebec Toys, while representing the finest toy versions of the Evangelion Units ever, included the first ever model of Eva Unit 04 and includes
twin batons, a machine gun modeled after the
MP-5, a pistol modeled after the
Colt and a
Riot Shield.
