A mythical king in Roman mythology. In the eighth book of his Aeneid, Virgil tells how Evandar and the hero Aeneas, both exiles from their homelands of Arcadia and Troy respectively, meet and forge an alliance not long after Aeneas' party has landed on Italian shores.
