Victor Frankl, after suffering in a Nazi Death Camp decided that the last human freedom is that of perception - whatever happens to us, we are free to perceive it in any way, to let it affect us in any way we want.
After careful consideration, I think that there is another basic human freedom - to act an asshole.
My basis for this is that some people, whatever the situation, will try to score points off you, or just argue any point with you. They seem to have decided that they must be a dick or the world will be overrun by nice people - or something.
This behaviour baffles me.
