A multimedia computer system manufactured by fujitsu in the late 80s and early 90s.
While based on intel's 386 and 486 processors, they _are not_ PC compatible, since it runs its own Towns-OS.
(linux has been ported to the FM-Towns.)
its distribution was limited almost entirely to Japan, and is almost unknown outside of that country.
fujitsu later tried to make this computer into a successfull videogame console, similar to the Amiga CD32, called the FM Towns Marty.
