Title of any number of traditional Creole lullabies with varying lyrics and music. The one that was sung to me by my grandmother when I was a child has a soft soothing repetition and lyrics that are truly horrible once translated:

The translated lyrics rank right up there with rock-a-bye baby in the treetop with sheer terror-inspiration for infants. The translation below is largely literal, but with some license taken so it can be sung to the same tune:
