Fallacies of Ambiguity are logical fallacies in reasoning used in debate or argument.In these, ambiguous, changeable wording in the propositions works to trick the opposition.
The Fallacies of Ambiguity are:
equivocation, amphibole, accent(arg), composition(arg), and division(arg) Compare Fallacies of Relevance.
A class of logical fallacies in which a word or phrase is used unclearly. It could be ambiguous, so the word or phrase has multiple meanings, or vague, so it has no meaning. While amusing in jokes and stories, the Fallacies of Ambiguity have no place in a logical argument.
