A logical fallacy
in which a number
of choices n
are given when in reality more than n
choices are usually given: the one the person want
s chosen and one that is completely unacceptable
. This is a misuse
of the logical or
operator in that all possibilities
are not included.
For example, "You can come or you can stay here" ignores the option of going somewhere else.
To prove the use of False Dilemma, simply prove that another option exists.
