Finsbury Park is a region of North London. Finsbury Park tube station is served by the Victoria and Piccadilly lines, as well as a main-line station.

At one time highly fashionable, it now borders on the edge of the inner city and most of the impressive Georgian mansions that line the streets have been converted into bedsits and small flats. The park itself still exists and is one of the largest green areas in London. It's particularly noted for hosting various music festivals each summer:

  • The Fleadh -- the largest celebration of Irish music anywhere outside of Ireland
  • Madstock -- this originally started as a one-off comeback reunion show by Madness but was so popular it's now into its fourth or fifth year
  • The Holsten Beer Festival -- again originally a one-off but now an annual event, which seems to drag huge numbers of Australians and South Africans away from their usual Earl's Court haunts
