Military radio command for initiating artillery fire.

The process begins with the mortar/howitzer/other artillery team firing a few "aiming" rounds at the target, with spotters watching. When the future dead thing is properly targeted, the artillery will commonly fire a marker, or smoke round. This isn't necessary if they are working alone.

When everyone is ready, the spotter radios "Fire for effect" and something gets blown up.
