A flash button is a button (really?) on a lighting desk. Each flash button is normally associated with a fader, which controls either a channel, preset, or memory. Whatever the case, the flash button will work the same way.

What happens when you press the flash button depends on the current configuration of the lighting desk. Often, there are three settings for the flash buttons: On, Solo, or Off

On: The flash button will turn all the lights corresponding to it's fader up to full.
Solo: The flash button will turn all the lights corresponding to it's fader up to full, and turn everything else off.
Off: The flash button will do absolutely nothing whatsoever.
