The
Fleet Center is not only the home of the
Boston Celtics and the
Boston Bruins, it is a
venue where
ice shows,
gymnastic meets,
pro-wrestling, the
Beanpot and other events occur. Private events (like
graduations or
conventions) can also be booked.
Opening on September 30, 1995, the Fleet Center replaces the old Boston Garden (formerly located next door) with a 19,600-seat facility, including 108 suites, 2 restaurants, and a private club.
