Flemingdon Park is a
multicultural neighbourhood that has traditionally
served as the first home for many new
Canadians seeking
affordable housing in the City of
Toronto.
Apartment buildings and
town houses serve as
shelter for core of Flemingdon Park's residents, however there are new
condominiums for sale on the fringes.
The total
population of this neighbourhood at approximately
twenty thousand people with over
eighty different languages being spoken within the community. The neighbourhood is served by
schools,
community services and a small
mall that has a
McDonalds and some
discount stores.
Flemingdon Park is also known as Flemo to the
gangs in and around
Toronto. Walking alone at
night here is not reccomended although the amount and
calibre of
police action is worth going out to see if you have an
armoured
car.
