Flight of the Amazon Queen was a point-and-click adventure game developed by Interactive Binary Illusions and published by old-timers Renegade Software.

Set in the 1940s, the story starts with poor Joe King, a pilot for hire, trying to act on his contract to deliver movie star Faye Russell to the Amazon Jungle for a photo-shoot. As you might expect, things don't go quite as planned, and our friend Joe King finds himself traipsing around the jungle meeting a wide array of wacky characters.

The game features bright, comic-book style graphics and the usual wit associated with games of this genre. The interface can be a little annoying at times, especially during scrolling scenes, but it provides a variety of interesting verbs with which you to interact with objects, and most of the time intelligent defaults are chosen to avoid unnecessary clicking.

The game is full of 40s adventure movie clichés, but not so many that it becomes annoying. On the whole, I found this to be a great game and would recommend it to all fans of the genre.
