Trivia:

Parts of Fort Henry's construction were made by the future Canadian Prime Minister Alexander Mackenzie, who was a stonemason by trade before becoming the first Liberal Prime Minister of Canada.

Fort Henry's curving interior moat was designed to maximize ricochet action of projectile fire. Fort Henry was never attacked but did see hostilities, of a sort: it was host to enemy prisoners of war in World War II.
