An excellent modular cross-platform
Integrated Development Environment from
Sun Microsystems. Incorporates support for every Java package you can shake a stick at,
CVS,
Swing,
servlets and
auto-completion. New versions are apparently going to have
Rational's software engineering package (something along the lines of
Rational Rose). And it's
free. You may notice when using it that it pisses on the now defunct Visual J++ from a very great height, and even comes close to Emacs with JDE (surpassing it in many ways). Arise Sir
