The French Bulldog is a breed of dog developed in France.
It is thought to be from a small English Bulldog that then crossed with other types of breeds.

The French Bulldog is quite small, standing at only 30cm (12in) at the shoulder. Even though the French Bulldog is small it is relatively heavy, weighing up to about 13kg(28 lb).
It has high ears, and a very short tail.
The skull is flat between the ears and curves above the eyes.
French Bulldogs coats are smooth, and usually brindle, brindle and white, fawn, or white in colour.
It has a comical heavy-jawed face, which is blunt and wrinkled.
