The home of Jorma Kaukonen's Guitar Camp is also a conference center, concert hall, year round restaurant, and a seasonal instructional facility. Located in the rolling foothills of southeast Ohio, Fur Peace Ranch is a great place to listen to and learn from great artists, such as Arlo Guthrie and Jack Casady, who sometimes serve as guest instructors. Since opening in 1998, Fur Peace has offered lessons in everything from guitar repair to keyboards, percussion, and every guitar style imaginable. The camp season runs from February through November, with four day workshops for the guitar hack or the music management entrepreneur.
The ranch's location in the hills of Appalachia, gives guests and visitors alike, "a reflective surrounding to entice the soul." A place where experienced musicians gather to share their combined enthusiasm for teaching to create a unique environment for expanding one's musical knowledge.
