Garlic butter is an essential seasoning in many dishes. It can be drizzled over French bread before oven-heating, used for a dip for Lobster and steamed crab, brushed on grilled fish, and used to season beef while grilling. To make garlic butter, simply combine the following:

  • 1/2 Cup / 1 stick / about 250 ml of melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 1/2 tsp powdered garlic
  • a dash of dried parsley or dillweed (optional)

My favorite use for garlic butter is for a dip for steamed snow crab. You can stretch the recipe a bit by adding olive oil - you may need to add more salt and garlic as well.
