The first graphical user interface that I ever used on the home PC. Windows (3.0 at the time) was too hardware intensive, and mad expensive, so we went with Geoworks, aka Geos. When it started up, it gave you three icons, one of them brought you to a Program Manager type interface. The next one connected you to AOL, and the last one maybe exited. I'll have to find a screenshot somewhere.

It was cool, since you could play solitaire, etc. Of course, this was back in the WordPerfect 5.1 days where most of the real work was done from the DOS prompt anyway.

I still have the old Geoworks manuals at home. They were real in depth, like
click on that giant icon to connect to AOL.
