The Glasgow Supper is one of those culinary legends that have survived the ages, nevertheless it is less widely served these days. Still pretty common in the seventies and the eighties, this West of Scotland delicacy has taken the same road as Haggis and is only available in chosen establishments, which are kept secret and whose names are only whispered. This is, of course, a very male dish, and the mere mention of it will cause a smattering of scottish cusswords from irate wives, worried about their husband's midriff and angry grandmothers, blaming themselves for their lack of discipline towards their grandsons.
