The glorious cry of spirit and support shouted by every
student,
alumnus, and some of the
faculty and
administration of the
University of California (aka
UC Berkeley,
Cal).
The "Go Bears!" cheer exists in two form - a single part and a double part versions. By itself, "Go Bears!" can be used as a phrase to show support for Cal, to invoke the Spirit of California, or to end a sppech, class, or argument in such a manner. Likewise, any blue and gold loving fan knows to answer the call of "Go" with an emphatic yell of "Bears"; this version forms the basis of the cheer which goes:
student section: "Hey alumni! Go..."
Alumni: "Bears!"
student section: "Go..."
Alumni: "Bears!"
and so on and so forth.
