Goat's-Beard: A flower found at least in the Midwest USA, with a single yellow flower at the top of the stem. The edges of the flower have a "spiky" look to them, and seeds much like a dandelion as a featherlike orb full of "parachutes", one on each seed so that the breeze may carry it away. The leaves along the stem are alternate. Grows 1-3 feet tall. Blooms from summer to autumn.
