witches' familiar, the cat. The
familiar was an evil spirit or
demon of some kind supposedly
attending to the whims of the likes of witches,
sorcerors etc..
Graymalkin was the name given by the
wierd sisters' in Act I of
Shakespeare's
Macbeth.
