HTML 3.0 was the last version of HTML to introduce elaborate extensions without support from the most popular browsers. Among its features are <OBJECT> (a tidy way to include documents into each other, as opposed to kludges like <IMG> or <FRAME>), and a language to specify mathematicsl expressions in HTML.
