The funky carefree Pop band hit immediately when 'Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)' charted in 1981, helped by pin-up singer Nick Heyward. After their hits 'Love Plus One', 'Fantastic Day', 'Nobody's Fool' and Pelican West (all 1982), plans were made for a TV series. However, stardom had taken its toll on Heyward, who quit soon after.

The band's percussionist Mark Fox led their final album Paint And Paint (1983), while Heyward went solo with North Of A Miracle (1983), Postcards From Home (1986), I Love You Avenue (1988), From Monday To Sunday (1993), Tangled (1995) and World's End (1997).
