The happy kerpuffle goes "fluff" in the day
The happy cantoogle goes "meep" in the way
Embee is a happy kerpuffle, yes yes,
Embee therefore goes happy "fluff" in the day

(Why, oh why is it that you say,
"Embee therefore goes happy 'fluff' in the day?")
Embee is a happy kerpuffle, yes yes,
Embee therefore goes happy "fluff" in the day

The backing-up sneecher goes "snirch" in the bay
The front-eating carper goes "firp" to the jay
The jaybird goes up to the carper, yes yes,
The carper therefore goes mad "firp" to the jay

(What do we do with the carper-firped jay?
Do we eat him or do we go get pay?)
The front-eating carper has blemishes, yes,
The front-eating carper gets to eat the jay.

The happy kerpuffle goes "fluff" in the day
The happy cantoogle goes "meep" in the way
Embee is a happy kerpuffle, yes yes,
Embee therefore goes happy "fluff" in the day

background: I wrote this poem a few weeks ago, after writing the opening stanza a few years ago while in a state of incredible sleep deprivation. I personally like this poem because it uses iambic pentameter and rhymes and doesn't try to be art, unlike modern-day "poetry" which tries WAY too hard to have a message and is usually just a bunch of words spewed on a page by someone who feels incredibly self-important in their depression. I prefer to harken back to the days of innocent youth, myself.
