1870-1950. Scottish entertainer, famous for both comic/novelty songs such as "Stop Your Tickling, Jock" and "Just a Wee Deoch an' Doris" and serious songs such as "Roamin' in the Gloamin'" and "I Love a Lassie". He is as much a part of Scottish culture as Old Glory is to America.
After entertaining the troops during WWI, he was knighted Sir Harry Lauder.
