Hawthorne the
hermit crab is one of the main characters in
Jim Toomey's comic strip
Sherman's Lagoon. Hawthorne has quite a temper, and likes to pinch people's toes. Definetly one of the most
cynical characters, Hawthorne often comes up with business ideas and likewise.
Oh, and his appropriated home is of course a tin can...
