Also known as Jan Axel von Blomberg, the two-time Norwegian Grammy Award winner Hellhammer is widely regarded as the best drummer in the Norwegian metal scene and therefore one of the best drummers in the world. The bands he has played/still plays in include but are not limited to: Mayhem, The Kovenant, Arcturus and Winds.
Hellhammer also plays drums in Thorns. In the past he has worked with Immortal (session drummer on the 1995 tour and "Masters Of Nebulah Frost" video), Emperor, Burzum, Fleuerety and Troll.
