The Heywood Hill Literary Prize, worth £15,000, was awarded to a writer, publisher, reviewer, collector or editor in respect of their lifetime achievement in terms of their contribution to the enjoyment of books. The prize was sponsored by the 11th Duke of Devonshire who was the majority shareholder in Heywood Hill, a firm of antiquarian booksellers. The prize has not been awarded since 2004 after the death of the 11th Duke in that year.
