Horadric Cube

An item introduced in the second act of Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo II. It is used to transmute or combine items.

Horadric Cube Transmutations

The Basics

• 3 identical Gems = 1 Gem of next higher grade
• 1 Health Potion + 1 Strangling Gas Potion = 1 Antidote Potion
• 3 Health Potions + 3 Mana Potions = 1 Rejuvenation Potion
• 3 Health Potions + 3 Mana Potions + 1 Gem = 1 Full Rejuvenation Potion
• 3 Amulets = 1 Ring
• 3 Rings = 1 Amulet

Normal Weapons

• 2 Quivers of Arrows = 1 Quiver of Bolts
• 2 Quivers of Bolts = 1 Quiver of Arrows
• 1 Spear + 1 Quiver of Arrows = A stack of Javelins
• 1 Axe Class weapon + 2 Dagger Class weapons = One stack of plain Throwing Axes
• 6 Gems + 1 normal or unique Sword = One Socketable Long Sword

Special Items

• 1 Ring + 1 Emerald + 4 Antidote Potions = 1 Viridian Ring (21-30% Poison Resist)
• 1 Ring + 1 Ruby + 4 Exploding Potions = 1 Garnet Ring (21-30% Fire Resist)
• 1 Ring + 1 Sapphire + 4 Thawing Potions = 1 Cobalt Ring (21-30% Cold Resist)
• 1 Ring + 2 Topaz = 1 Coral Ring (21-30% Lightning Resist)
• 6 Perfect Gems (one of each type except Skull) + Amulet = Prismatic Amulet (16-25% Resist All)
• 1 Diamond + 1 Staff + 1 Kris + 1 Belt = 1 Savage Bardiche (+166-180% damage)
• Magical small Shield + 1 Spiked Club + 2 Skulls = Small shield of spikes
• 3 Perfect Gems + 1 item (armor, weapon, or jewelry) = Random new magical item of same type

The Obvious

• Staff of Kings + Viper Amulet = Horadric Staff
• Khalim's Eye + Khalim's Heart + Khalim's Brain + Khalim's Flail = Khalim's Will

The Truly Amazing

• Wirt's Leg + One Tome of Town Portal = Portal to Secret Cow Level (Note: must beat game first)

Another word of warning - most of the transmutes to 'random' items are not worth it. And there's no load/save going back in Diablo II.

Even things like 6 gems plus one normal sword is not worth a plain socketed sword. If you use a magical or unique sword in this, you will still get a normal socketed longsword.

The Horadric Cube's most useful use by far is to upgrade gems to perfect gems. In my opinion, when you do get a load of perfect gems, don't exchange them for a Prismatic Amulet. Perfect Skull's and Perfect Diamond's are very good on their own...
