As the burning bush to Moses, so the neon "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign to weary travelers with a sugar fixation. Krispy Kreme, a doughnut shop morally superior in every way to Dunkin' Donuts, lights the sign as soon as a fresh batch of hot glazed doughy goodness has come off the conveyor belt.

Remember that scene in Men in Black where the street bystanders are herded toward the decontamination squad and their flashy thingie? That's me, one of those bystanders, blankly drifting toward the Hot Doughnuts Now sign, feeling strangely compelled to eat and eat and eat and eat....

the official (in the know) name for this beacon professing wonderful sticky goodness is the "Hot Light".

ahh, the joys of driving down Ponce de Leon Avenue and seeing the red neon glow off the rain slicked parking lot. fortunately, this location bakes most of the doughnuts for the Atlanta area, so the Hot Light is on quite often.
